. It seems to me that in 2016, the most important national issue was abortion (or say the Supreme Court). Abortion may become the most important national issue again, but after Dobbs and given any foreseeable make up of Congress, it is for the time being a states issue. In 2024, the most important national issue is whether the United States will remain a Republic. I have one vote for president, and I am giving it for my country.
