Ignatius of Antioch, who lived between 35 CE and 107 CE, is a famous Apostolic Church father. What makes him so special for followers of Jesus today is that he was one of the five earliest church fathers. However, what makes Ignatius even more special than just being a mere “church father” is that he, along with Polycarp, was a disciple of Apostle John himself. Yes, the very same apostle who is reputed to have authored the Gospel of John, a man who is widely considered to be the disciple whom Jesus loved the most. Jesus appears among the Jews, but they ignored the same Christ who was the messiah awaited by the scriptures.
Our Lord appeared among the Jews who had previously ignored the Mosaic Torah, the cause of which was the evil influence coming from captivity whose doctrines were pagan and hidden, and this led them not to accept Him. The error of the Jews is of origin about creation which is seen as evil, whose interpretation about the "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" in the kabbalistic way about the "beginning" which is Bereschit, coming from nothing, which generated Elohim, a being of the perishable world whose mission is destruction. It was a Gnostic doctrine that they professed.
St. John goes on to combat this Jewish Gnosis by saying that God is "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was in God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning in God. All things were made by him, and nothing that was made was made without him" (John 1:1-3).
And the same apostle places Christ among the Jews: "If you do not believe who I am, you will die in your sin. So they said to him, 'Who are you? 'Jesus said unto them, O beginning (Bereschit), I speak unto you'" (John 8:24-25).
In the same passage, St. John says that the Jews understood this and then many of them believed in Him.
We must pray that they will understand that Christ the Messiah, whose faith is bound up with reason, has always been the same God, the supreme good of all things.
The Church, founded by Christ himself, with unchanging doctrine, must continue in union with the true Peter; the Church, with a different Christ, with a doctrine in constant change, with a caricature of Peter imposed by globalists, thus shows itself to be an error that must be avoided for the good of our soul.
Hence, he continues: "By this the spirit of God is known: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that divides Jesus is not of God; but he is an Antichrist, from whom you have heard that he is coming, and now he is already in the world" (John I, 4:2-3).
