Angelus of St. Joseph

V. The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.
R. ” Joseph, Son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary, your wife, into your home.”

V. “For that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
R. ” And she shall bring forth a son.”

V. “And you shall call his name Jesus.”
R. ” Because He is the one who is to save his people from their sins.”

V. Pray for us, O virgin father of Jesus.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

V. Let us pray.
All. Pour forth we beseech you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ you Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by his passion and cross be brought to the glory of his resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord, Amen.
