Facebook in it's beginning early stages and was handed the task of
making it go public beyond college student attendants/graduates, states
he regrets feeding the beast and hacking people's psyches to engineer
their thoughts and emotions, even after they log off the website.
Parker described how in the early days of Facebook people would tell him they weren’t on social media because they valued their real-life interactions.
“And I would say, ‘OK. You know, you will be,’” he said.
“I don’t know if I really understood the consequences of what I was saying,” he added, pointing to “unintended consequences” that arise when a network grows to have more than 2 billion users.
“It literally changes your relationship with society, with each other. It probably interferes with productivity in weird ways. God only knows what it’s doing to our children’s brains,” he said.
He explained that when Facebook was being developed the objective was: “How do we consume as much of your time and conscious attention as possible?” It was this mindset that led to the creation of features such as the “like” button that would give users “a little dopamine hit” to encourage them to upload more content.
“It’s a social-validation feedback loop … exactly the kind of thing that a hacker like myself would come up with, because you’re exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology.”
Parker, who previously founded the file-sharing site Napster, joined the Facebook team in 2004 five months after the site had launched as a student directory at Harvard. Parker saw the site’s potential and was, according to Zuckerberg, “pivotal in helping Facebook transform from a college project into a real company”.

Today, The Epoch Times reported the dangers of "Addictive “brain hijacking” methods used by social media giants to keep users on their platforms... according to industry insider Rex Lee." Lee says they are "Harmful to Users, Especially Children":
Rex Lee, who says the companies may be violating child protection laws and consumer protection laws by employing such techniques.
Lee, who has over 35 years of experience in the tech and telecom industry, recently testified before Congress, speaking to members about some of the deceptive practices used by social media networks—in particular, “brain hijacking.”
“The first time I’d ever heard of brain hijacking, I thought it was something from a science fiction movie,” he recently told EpochTV’s Crossroads program.
He said that social media apps, including those developed by Google, Meta, and Bytedance, are intentionally developed to be addictive.
Part of what makes these platforms addictive is associated with brain hijacking technologies, which involve suggestive and manipulative advertising, he explained.
Lee, who works in the tech industry for an enterprise app and platform developer, said that he was shocked after coming across an admission in a 2017 Axios interview by Sean Parker, who served as the first president of Facebook.
In the interview, Parker said that Facebook was intentionally developed using addictive technologies associated with something he described as a “social validation feedback loop.”
“That in itself is what is at the heart of brain hijacking,” Lee said. “And what that does is that reassures the end user that what they’re posting on the platform is being accepted by a lot of people. In other words, a social validation feedback loop would be associated with a thumbs up, or confetti or emojis, and that sort of thing after they do a post.”
Lee said these are addictive qualities that developers put into their app and platform designs, which ultimately end up harming the user.
“Sean Parker actually admitted this during the Axios interview when he said, ‘God only knows what it’s doing to our children’s brains,’” Lee said. “But it’s not only the brains of children, it’s the brains of the end user, whether it’s an adult, teen, child, or business and user.
“This is why people are checking their smartphones up to 150 times a day.”
Lee added that Parker expressly told Axios that the feedback loop was “exactly the kind of thing that a hacker like myself would come up with, because you’re exploiting vulnerability in human psychology.”
Lee has been providing to congressional committees, as well as senators and House members, insider information on how these platforms are developed.
The cybersecurity and privacy adviser also highlighted the harmful
effects these social media platforms have on young teenagers, describing
the platforms as “no different than tobacco companies making

The COVID-19 pandemic has been one of fear, manufactured by individuals who were in the nominal positions of authority as the virus began to spread across the globe last year, according to Yale epidemiologist Dr. Harvey Risch.
In an appearance on Epoch TV’s “American Thought Leaders” program, Risch, an epidemiology professor at the Yale School of Public Health and Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, argued that by and large, what has characterized the entire CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic has been a “degree of fear and people’s response to the fear.”
“Overall, I’d say that we’ve had a pandemic of fear. And fear has affected almost everybody, whereas the infection has affected relatively few,” said Risch.
“By and large, it’s been a very selected pandemic, and predictable. It was very distinguished between young versus old, healthy versus chronic disease people. So we quickly learned who was at risk for the pandemic and who wasn’t.
“However, the fear was manufactured for everybody. And that’s what’s characterized the whole pandemic is that degree of fear and people’s response to the fear.”
Risch has authored more than 300 original peer-reviewed publications and was formerly a member of the board of editors for the American Journal of Epidemiology. Scholar and exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger, P.hD., in his YouTube podcast "What is Fear and Confusion" explained that the COVID pandemic is "literally brainwashing" because the media connects an unreasonable hysterical emotional fear of death with the coronavirus:

Fr. Ripperger shows that the media has brought about this unreasoning hysterical "fear" regime of Hell on earth by using television and other means to create "confusion" causing people to be easily manipulated and controlled.
Finally, Professor Edward Curtin, who teaches sociology at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, reaffirms the above experts take on the pandemic saying "the corporate mainstream media’s version of COVID-19" is a "campaign of fear" using "very sophisticated propaganda":
