@ShaneSchaetzel..if he was forced out against his will through coercion..Benedict XVI was still pope. I agree with @JhWesten..needs to be a full investigation by @realDonaldTrump to get to the bottom of this..All Catholics have a RIGHT to know
If this is true, we may have a problem — a very BIG problem. I have always said that the most viable argument for the invalidation of the Francis papacy is if either Benedict XVI didn’t fully resign, or if he was forced out against his will through coercion. If either one is true, then it could invalidate the election of Francis, because Benedict XVI was still pope, even if he didn’t know it.
Alas, we won’t know the answer until a future pope states it plainly for us. But it is a very serious matter, and it should not be ignored. I agree with . There needs to be a full investigation by to get to the bottom of this. A report can be submitted to the Holy See and made public as well. Then, regardless of what Francis does with it, a future pope can evaluate the report, do his own investigation, and give us all a definitive answer. All Catholics have a RIGHT to know, one way or another. It is cruel to keep us in the dark.
