LifeSite News: "One should conclude either that Pope Benedict XVI made a colossal mistake or that he, in truth, invalidly renounced the papacy"

Benedict XVI made a colossal mistake by inventing the role of ‘pope emeritus’

The video linked below clarifies the cause for this new initiative by Archbishop Viganò against Benedict XVI and the popes during and after the Council. "They are truly revealing their true intent that is now coming to light [on Benedict XVI]. Because everything is afloat. And all of them themselves are showing that this is always a grace of God (Father Faré, response to Monsignor Viganò, December 2, 2024):

May God give us the grace of humility to understand our mistakes and welcome only the truth.

Viganò is an inconsistent being and again does not show evidence and even misrepresents the facts. We can see that it does not follow the first premise of Benedict XVI's statement before the Cardinals. In this way errors and injustices of fallacious arguments occur on his part against the Pope. For example, we know that a Pope has jurisdiction over Rome. But a Pope is not the same as the other bishops, but a Vicar of Christ who is a peer among the others in the same episcopate. That is why there is in his person a singularity over the others in this ministry. A diocesan bishop, when he retires because he reaches 75 years of age, remains with the office, but no longer exercises the ministry in the diocese. But there is no canon that says the same thing about a Pope. Obviously, the solution, as Viganò never presents solutions, is that there was an abdication of ministry by Benedict that reveals a totally barred seat (canon 412). It soon becomes very clear that there is no pontificate that is emeritus. Today, December 2, 2024, Viganò's Italian-language video has more than 30,000 views. However, the criticism among the commentators against this analysis of him, are the majority in the same video... The truth is coming out.

Correction: a Vicar of Christ is not a peer among the other bishops. He is different.

5 Dubia Questions for 1P5's Steve Skojec & All faithful Catholics especially Francis is definitely Pope Cardinals, Bishops & pundits

Here are five really short and easy to answer dubia questions which hopefully aren't too complicated for Steve Skojec, publisher of the One Peter Five website, to answer. To make it really easy for the publisher of One Peter Five it has been formatted so that he only has to answer: yes or no. 1. Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales said "The Pope... when he is explicitly a heretic... the Church must either deprive him or as some say declare him deprived of his Apostolic See." Was St. Francis de Sales a Sedevacantist or a Benevacantist? Answer: yes or no. 2. "Universal Acceptance" theologian John of St. Thomas said "This man in particular lawfully elected and accepted by the Church is the supreme pontiff." Was John of St. Thomas for saying "the supreme pontiff" must be BOTH "lawfully elected and accepted by the Church" a Sedevacantist or a Benevacantist? Answer: yes or no. 3. Do you think that a "supreme pontiff...
