American production was import to China, because with slave labor and very cheap meant more profit to the interested parties. Then there's the semiconductor problem that exists in abundance in China and Taiwan. A semiconductor is important from the manufacture of a simple smartphone to a ballistic missile. The production of electric cars is proving to be a fiasco. Like the example of wind energy. Everything is going badly for America.
