Former Professional Pilot: "Been involved in Professional Aviation since the ‘60’s... I can Reasonably Predict that Pilots right now are Enraged"
This is written by a friend of the Catholic Monitor who is a former professional pilot:
I can tell you that within a pilot group, rage can build organically
and needs no direction from an organized labor union. When conditions
are bad enough, the word on the street gets around to every pilot within
days, less than a week.
I’ve been out for a while, now
permanently, but have been involved in professional aviation since the
‘60’s when my Dad was an airline pilot - my entire conscious life. I
can reasonably predict that pilots right now are enraged to the point of
being unsafe in the skies. Sick calls are likely less about “wildcat
strikes” and more about not being mentally fit to fly their flight that
day because of the unbelievable pressure and stress placed upon them by a
management that truly doesn’t give a sh*t about its people or about
safety. They are without clues. And so … pilots do what we have been
trained to do as professionals - we call in sick when we are
physically or mentally unfit to safely fly the flight that day.
I
think most passengers would appreciate the consideration of a pilot who
stayed home rather than inflict a troubled mental state upon a plane
full of innocent people.
Gary Kelly … Ben Minicucci … Doug
Parker …. Scott Kirby …. Have any of you thought about the extreme
mental and spiritual anguish you are inflicting on your aircrews as you
send them out in a sealed up tube at 460 kts, every flight of which can
end in disaster for the people on board and the Company you lead? You
give these ultimatums and expect that … what … we are just machines?
Sorry. Get out and meet your people. Have some compassion and
understanding. I guarantee you that you and the Company you lead and
every flight that takes off is under increasing risk and stress every
day as you blithely command your front liners to take the shot or go to
you know where.
The weather excuse is a farce. We’ve faced far,
far worse than a few isolated thunderstorms here there and everywhere in
Florida (just another day). Wildcat strike? Another farce. It is
professional pilots keeping their crew, passengers and … yes … their
companies safe from the disaster their Oligarch bosses have led them to.
As I said - I’m done. But I know my people and they are doing what
professional aviators are trained to do: err on the side of safety and
never ever put your plane or passengers at risk.
End the vaccine
mandates. The most comprehensive crime against humanity ever committed.
Don’t participate in it, Gary Kelly (Ben, Doug, Scott). As leaders,
end it.
Southwest airlines’ situation in a single Meme.

In
my opinion, Southwest’s situation is a microcosm if the rest of
America. And so, the Meme, truer than we may think on more than one
level. The individual on one side, the power of the collective on the
other. Freedom on one side, submission on the other. Bravery on one
side, brutality on the other. One lonely man speaks for the multitude
in one side, ultimate power speaks for one against the multitude on the
other. America and everything our God blessed nation stands for is on
one side. China and everything that cursed totalitarian communist
nation stands for is on the other.
I really do think the analogy
is no stretch. Southwest, like all government allied Oligarch led
companies is reaching in to our most intimate decisions and compelling
physical and spiritual acts against our will. That is intolerable now
as it ever was in communist China when the young man made his brave and
lonely stand in Tiananmen Square before the tank and military power of
the regime. This is us, now. This is the hill - the hill we are ready
to die on. There is no other hill after this one. We must defend this
one and then start taking all the other hills back, previously taken
from us. No More!
the most important analogy of the meme:
This threat we face is not that of violence and the tank, as the young Chinese student in Tiananmen.
Rather
this modern threat is more insidious but thereby more total. It is
personal, individual, spiritual economic oppression that enters in and
takes from us at the most intimate and personal levels and in that
personal space, once free, there it asserts practical control over us
and breaks our will and capacity to live and survive.
More
dangerous than a tank or any gun, this threat is much more efficient at
compelling free people to quit life and do as directed.
We see it
also in the Catholic Church, in which once orthodox and Tradition
loving Catholics have had their wills broken to such an extent they now
advance with missionary fervor the aims of this apostate man sitting on
St Peter’s Throne - idolatry, sodomy, indifferentism, modernism,
oppression and suppression of the Sacred. These things and more are
given by those whose will has been broken by the oppressor who aims at
the invisible soul of us all.
Pray an Our Father now for reparation for the sins committed because of Francis's Amoris Laetitia.
