Collusion: Are Russia & Pope Francis Proping Up Venezuelan Dictatorship?

-Updated August 26, 2017-

Are Russia's Vladimir Putin and Pope Francis ties getting closer because they are colluding or plotting to prop up the brutal Venezuelan dictatorship?

A week ago, Francis sent his Secretary of State to Russia. At the same time, a leader of the Russian opposition accused Putin of propping up the Venezuelan tyranny.

According to PanAm Post:

"Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalni has taken Vladimir Putin to task for financing Nicolas Maduro's brutal regime; he has assured that the Kremlin will not recover the USD $8.8 billion granted in credit to Caracas." (PanAm Post, "Russian Opposition Denounces Putin for Sustaining Venezuelan Regime with Loans, Credit," August 19, 2017)

A few days ago, Zenit reported that Francis's Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin said:

"Russia 'can help' Venezuela in this 'difficult moment.' 'I think that Russia can contribute to the negotiations.'" (Zenit, "Venezuela: 'Russia can contribute the negotiations,'" August 23, 2017)

Francis's mediation and negotiation efforts according to the Miami Herald have been a "lifeline" for the dictatorship's continuing tranny.

Even left-leaning Crux.com is worried that Pope Francis's propping up of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro is ruining his Catholic credibility. Crux said:

"Government goons...entering parish churches to disrupt Masses...If the Holy See does not adopt a tougher line against Maduro, it would make Francis's economic interventions appear ideologically leftist rather than rooted in Catholic social teaching."(Crux.com, April 24)

Crux fears Francis will " appear" leftist rather than Catholic because he is propping up a Venezuelan dictatorship that has killed over 100 citizens and arrested 1,365 non-violent Venezuelan protesters because they want democracy and food to feed their children according to Caracas Chronicles.com.

The website reported:

"The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said this Monday that Venezuela is at risk of a food crisis." (Caracas Chronicles.com, April 25)

The Miami Herald on February 8 said that Francis's 2016 mediation effort "legitimized...Maduro, throwing him a lifeline...Pope Francis...stop being an obstacle in restoration of democratic rule in Venezuela."

As the dictator sacrilegiously disrupts Masses, kills and arrests citizens as they peacefully protest for democracy and food, the talkative Francis offers the Venezuelan victims:

Silence.

The Pope is never short of words when he alleges that democratic capitalistic governments are oppressing the poor.

Maybe the left-leaning Crux is right about the appearances.

Maybe Francis is not just apparently "ideologically" a "leftist" and is afraid to speak out for the poor being oppressed by the socialist dictator because it might hurt the socialist and anti-capitalist cause.

Crux is extremely pro-Francis and has access to his many in his inner circle.

The website seems to be saying that the effectiveness of the Pope's anti-capitalist rhetoric will decline if he "appears" to be "ideologically" a "leftist" rather than devouted to Catholic social teachings.

All persons of good will need to pray for the suffering people of Venezuela as they are victimized by their own government.

We must pray for them as they suffer hunger, arrest as well as murder and call for an end to the tyranny.

If Francis continues to refuse to call for an end to the tyranny in Venezuela, he needs much prayer as do the victims.

Update:

The Pope is still apparently propping up the murderous Venezuelan dictatorship.

On April 30, Pope Francis refused to condemn the tyrant Maduro for his murders, arrests and socialist caused food crisis.

It appears that Francis threw the dictatorship another lifeline calling for negotiations and incredibly  blaming "the government and all the components of the Venezuelan society" for Maduro's violence.

In other words, the peaceful protestors calling for food for their children and democracy are equally to blame for the dictatorship's violence (murders and arrests).

Francis called to "the government and all the components of the Venezuelan society so that every further form of violence is avoided, human rights are respected and negotiated solutions sought." (Crux.com, April 30)

Imagine if Pope Pius XII had equally blamed "the government and all components of the" German society for the Nazi government and goons violence (murders and arrests).

5 Dubia Questions for 1P5's Steve Skojec & All faithful Catholics especially Francis is definitely Pope Cardinals, Bishops & pundits

Here are five really short and easy to answer dubia questions which hopefully aren't too complicated for Steve Skojec, publisher of the One Peter Five website, to answer. To make it really easy for the publisher of One Peter Five it has been formatted so that he only has to answer: yes or no. 1. Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales said "The Pope... when he is explicitly a heretic... the Church must either deprive him or as some say declare him deprived of his Apostolic See." Was St. Francis de Sales a Sedevacantist or a Benevacantist? Answer: yes or no. 2. "Universal Acceptance" theologian John of St. Thomas said "This man in particular lawfully elected and accepted by the Church is the supreme pontiff." Was John of St. Thomas for saying "the supreme pontiff" must be BOTH "lawfully elected and accepted by the Church" a Sedevacantist or a Benevacantist? Answer: yes or no. 3. Do you think that a "supreme pontiff...
