Why did Pope Benedict Fire-up the Muslims?
With Muslims firebombing and shooting bullet holes through Christian churches in West Bank,An Italian nun also was gunned down in a Somali, and an Iraqi insurgent group threatening to bomb the Vatican with a suicide attack, why isn’t the Pope Benedict backing down?
The Pope is being pressured by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, spiritual leader of the world's 200 million Orthodox Christians, to back down. But on Saturday Sept.16, the Associated Press said:
“Pope Benedict XVI ‘sincerely regrets’ offending Muslims with his reference to an obscure medieval text that characterizes some of the teachings of Islam's founder as ‘evil and inhuman,’The Vatican said Saturday. But the statement stopped short of the apology demanded by Islamic leaders around the globe, and anger among Muslims remained intense.”
On Sunday Sept. 17, AP reported that the Pope said "he was 'deeply sorry' about the angry reaction to his recent remarks about Islam, which he said came from a text that did not reflect his personal opinion." (Note he said he was sorry about the Islam reaction.)
This Pope is doing the same rope-a-dope that Pope John Paul II did on the Nicaraguan communist regime. Remember how the Sandinistas’ ill treatment of the Pope revealed their true nature to the world. That was the beginning of the end of Russian Marxist expansion in Latin America. The Muslims are now betraying their public relation hoax to the world. This could be the beginning of the end for radical Islamic regimes.
Benedict actually wants to dialogue with Islam, but he wants an honest dialogue. He hopes, according to George Weigel in God’s Choice, that Muslim reformers can find from their “authoritative text . . . that it is God’s will that we be tolerant of those who have different understandings of God’s will.”
The Soviet Union lost when it tried to kill Pope John Paul II. If the Muslim world tries to murder Pope Benedict, they too will fall.
One of the secrets of Fatima was that “several entire nations will be annihilated.”The last living Fatima seer before she died, Sister Lucia, said this prophecy was still in the future. Most of the other Fatima predictions have already come to pass.
Be warned Islam. God is not mocked. Remember what happened to the Pharaoh and Egypt when he refused to listen to God’s prophet Moses.
