Mary's Secretary: Our Lady of Seven Sorrows She suffered but was not wounded.

Our Lady of Seven Sorrows

Exorcist Father Chad Ripperger gave one of the best sermons (and that is saying something because most homilies in our generation are boring to say the least) on Our Lady of Seven Sorrows and healing. In this sermon he shared a striking story about a conversation he had with Beelzebub through a possessed woman. I was IMMENSELY moved by this conversation, because of so many reasons, but I want to start with the most powerful part. Father was talking with Beelzebub (no big deal) about what Our Lady’s most “glorious” moment was. It happened to be the feast of the Annunciation that day and Father assumed Her most glorious moment was the Annunciation.

Satan, who of course is Beelzebub, said that was Her “greatest triumph”. Father went on to ask if Her Coronation was Her greatest glory, but Satan said, “no, that was Her greatest honor”. Giving up, Father finally asked, “what was Her greatest glory?” and Satan replied, “standing at the foot of the Cross of Her Son in perfect virtue.” Catch that? Her most glorious moment and feast then is Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, which also confirms why one of the greatest “graces” Mary has obtained for us lies in one of the seven promises, which I will get to, of praying Her Seven Sorrows Rosary EVERY DAY. In The Practice of the Presence of Mary: To Live and Die with Mary I have an entire section dedicated to Our Lady of Seven Sorrows and Her “irresistible novena” in that book which I will not be going into much at all here, so I encourage readers to revert to that book for more information.

QUOTE FROM SAINT ANDREW’S MASS MISSAL DESCRIBING THE SEVEN SORROWS OF MARY SEPTEMBER 15TH FEAST DAY:

I relate to the Passion of Holy Mother Church, according to the catechism, as I described the “break down” and comparison to the butterfly and the New Jerusalem with how to battle and overcome wounds in Part Two, because that is essentially the greatest battle, we, the flock, will face. We are born wounded, while Jesus, Mary, Joseph and John the Baptist were not, and thus, our suffering is entirely different from Theirs. How? Saint Thomas Aquinas said that “wounds are only caused through resistance”; we can resist physical, mental and spiritual wounds in a number of ways. The former can be defined if someone were to stab us with a knife; our automatic reaction is not going to be “I will just stand here, can you twist the knife? The pain feels wonderful”. No, our automatic reaction is going to be fighting to resist that knife. It is only natural.

It is our NATURAL nature to resist pain- especially physical. However, the Feast of all Saints in the readings for Matins shows how Holy Mother Church became holy by “not resisting, but enduring”. With spiritual and mental wounds, we resist by rejecting crosses God sends us, and failing to see His providence at work with “all things working together for the good” (Romans 8:28). A perfect example of non-resistance with physical suffering is how Our Lord, in Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ, in the Scourging at the Pillar scene, looks at Mary, and then gets up as if telling the whippers, He can handle more lashes. Remember in that scene the stunned look from those beating Him when He rises up? THAT is what not avoiding sacrifice looks like. How many of us have heard that cliché expression  and question of, “how can a God who loves us allow bad things to happen?” We hear that ALL OF THE TIME. And that is why I dedicate all of Chapter Five to the short, but life changing book co-authored by Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque’s spiritual director, titled Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence.

If I had to pick top three books that lead to perfection, understanding and love of God through the virtue of Piety, that book would be on that list. In fact, if I was stuck in the desert for the rest of my life with no human contact, and I only had three books to carry, I would bring True Devotion to Mary, a Douay Rheims Latin vulgate Bible and Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence (make it four books as I would also likely bring a summary of the Canticle of Canticles), because in short, everything you need to know about the goodness of God, examples of prophets and saints who came before us, along with the heroic virtues of Mary, would teach us to no longer resist anything Our Lord sends our way, since we would see His Providence and loving hand in all things. But we can only begin to even fathom this mystery and receive this great grace, by doing it all in, for, and with Mary. I will repeat this once more: we can do NOTHING without Mary. NOTHING. And one day, the whole Church will recognize this when Mary being Mediatrix of ALL grace, will be made a Dogma.

I suspect this Dogma will happen with the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, because Her triumph will only confirm that God ONLY gives grace through His Mother. Blessed are those who will be alive to see a holy Pope make this truth Dogma. I suspect many will be made martyrs before this day happens, but may their blood prepare the way! Venerable Teresita Quevedo was given a profound signal grace when she was a Carmelite of Charity that when the Assumption was to be made a Dogma, she would be in heaven celebrating it. Her Sisters laughed and of course did not believe her, until she in fact did die and then it was made a Dogma. Can you imagine experiencing this but with Mary’s title of Mediatrix of all grace? FIAT!

But what I am getting to is that Jesus, Mary, Joseph and John the Baptist DID NOT RESIST. EVER. However, for we fallen children of Adam and Eve, we all are wounded and the only way we can heal is to learn to “suffer well”; to suffer without resistance. I know what you must be thinking. How can someone suffer well if they were raped or abused, and those are absolutely valid questions. Father Ripperger said he has performed a number of exorcisms on sexual abused victims who were used in satanic sacrifices and other demonic rituals, and he made a moving point with how many of these victims by simply forgiving their abuser in their hearts, were set free and was a huge step in their path of healing. Is it not interesting how everything begins with forgiveness? Forgiveness is not the same as trust.

In Greek, forgiveness means the total freeing and releasing of someone. That is telling, because if we apply that to the victim or one who has been hurt or betrayed, we are essentially setting OURSELVES free. Let’s face it, most of the time the one who has hurt us does not know it or they do not care. So, by holding grudges, WE become the prisoner, and we become bound to THEIR sin or THEIR FAULT. In Old English it is “to give up desire or power to punish”. Does not that confirm what I just said about grudges? The Germanic loan-translation of Vulgar Latin is “perdonare”. Forgiving in simple terms can mean “stop holding a grudge”; notice how it says nothing about letting that person stay in your life, because that is not what forgiveness means.

I will repeat, forgiveness is not the same as trust. We can forgive people from the heart, pray for them because THAT is what true forgiveness and charity looks like, and still NEVER come into contact with them again if we know we cannot TRUST them. As you will see in the Providence chapter, Our Lord does not WILL evil, but He permits it IF it will bring about a greater good. We saw this with Job, a figure of the sufferings of the Church, because though he went through absolute hell, look how strong his faith was in the end, and he learned to praise God even in adversity. We also learn to have an impeccable, and Divine, sense of humor (as humor is a thing rooted in the Divine) when seemingly random things happen in our lives that may not make much sense:

We can be 100% assured Mary never reacted to suffering in the way the above memes show, but we fallen children of Adam and Eve must at least give Her a good laugh, because let’s face the facts: we are a bunch of babies. Even when the slightest “inconvenience” comes our way, the best we can know the status update of our charity is how we react to inconveniences. Our temperaments are very telling with HOW we react to sufferings and annoyances. The anonymous monk who wrote Hermitage Within said that we must become accustomed to the everyday occurrences of NON- Providence. What does that mean? That every day there are to “pray for us, who have recourse to Thee.” We need Her intercession, grace and Motherly assistance at every moment of our lives, because unlike Her perfect Son, we are imperfect, but with Her help, at the moment of our deaths, we can take confidence that She will make us perfect: “True children of Mary are not really born until their deaths…?”

Let us for a moment unpack how Satan can subvert sacrifice. He does this by making us believe that God is the thief that comes in through the window, rather than the front door, that He plays games with His children and does not have our best interest at heart. In short, he makes people believe God exists, but that He is bad. This is why we have freemasons, is not it? Because these people believe in God, but they willingly choose the side of Satan: “I will not serve”. The heart of freemasonry is the worship of Lucifer. I am not saying that resistance to suffering is no longer there, but that I recognize it and rather than build a wall, I say, “Jesus, You take care of it” (you will see this in next chapter’s theme). It’s as though Mary patched up that hole (the wound) and confirmed through Father Ripperger how healing is “suffering well.” In a radical sense, that is what it means when Our Lady asked for “reparations” at Fatima. We REPAIR. Enduring, not resisting. What is the fruit of suffering well, you may ask? CHARITY. Which of course leads me to:

We, the Church Militant can ONLY learn to NOT resist by turning to Mary, asking Her to heal us, asking Her to teach us to mirror Her virtue AND by asking for Her grace. Remember she is FULL of grace, meaning exactly that: FULL, and all graces come to us from God THROUGH Her. We need Her. Father Ripperger talks about how the woman who conquers the desire to control, there is no virtue she cannot obtain, as virtue helps us not get wounded, and is the most beautiful creature to walk the earth in achieving this. This is the type of beauty Beelzebub revealed during an exorcism, of his jealousy for Mary. Her beauty came from Her Fiat that She made over, and over and over and over again, as she NEVER ONCE subverted sacrifice, which is why even after all She suffered, She was never wounded.

Ripperger, when speaking of women seeking control comes from the wound of Eve, for Adam, he said it was the tendency to be effeminate and… subvert sacrifice. He of course was referring to marriage and where marriages go wrong if men seek to take the easy way out, allowing the women to control, but he said BEAUTIFUL marriages are the ones where the woman does not control anything, the man acts like a man by acting as head, and in both acting as they should a kind of glorious harmony takes place where no walls are built to shut each other out, they trust each other and if there are sufferings, they help each other and above all: THEY DO NOT WOUND EACH OTHER. But I want to apply this to the soul and our union with God in doing both: not seeking to control God’s plan as well as not subverting sacrifice. We are the bride, the Church, and in the Canticle of Canticle’s, in particular Our Carmelite Holy Father John of the Cross’ Spiritual Canticle, John says THIS in the Bridegroom’s perspective:

I once heard a priest contrast Mary’s Immaculate Conception to those born with Original Sin thus:

“Where Eve wounded, Mary healed”? Ceasing our anger is usually that “resistance” that comes with the restoration process, and it is also the anger or annoyance we may automatically experience when any type of inconvenience comes our way. Being restored is a… painful process; it is truly John of the Cross’ Dark Night of the Soul, because we see all our defects in the light of God, but we also see all the goodness He created in us, which He keeps, but indeed removes the stain (dark night of the spirit)28. Some of us experience that “purgatory” as the Church Militant, on earth, or as part of the Church Suffering in purgatory (I will get to the Church Triumphant). I call this type of suffering for the Church Militant “purgatory with perks”, because at least we have moments of relief, but the Church Suffering? They do not get even one moment of relief. Let us consider:

The Charity of the Souls in Purgatory – Importance of the Due Respect and Attentiveness Expected of the Priest when Saying Masses for the Dead – Holy Souls we Help Release from Purgatory will Intercede for Us at Our Death and Protect us from Satan’s Last Attacks

Ecstasy date November 14, 1905

Our Lady: “The souls of Purgatory are admirable, confirmed in grace. Their patience in their tortures is always equal. Their ardent desire is the longing to see their Divine Spouse. In this holy place, they recognize each other, they often console each other because they see the sorrows, the pain, the suffering of those they have left behind. They also see the ingratitude of those (i.e. on earth), the complete forgetfulness of those souls they left behind in the midst of tears and who had promised not to forget them.”

(OBSERVATION: in the next section Our Lady gives an example of what it is like for the souls in Purgatory).

Two souls are side by side; There’s only one hour left for purification (for one of them): ‘What joy! Only one hour left and I will see the Divine Spouse face to face, full of tenderness, whom I glimpsed during my judgment! ́ The other still has three months of suffering left. It is not alone; this soul has lost several of their loved ones who preoccupy them, who form the basis of their concern. They cry, they as  themself: ‘Where is my father? I haven’t met him!’ Or else, it’s a brother: ‘I didn’t hear his voice!’ The one who goes (i.e. is released to heaven) says to them: ‘My sister, courage!’ Your father is here. He is not in the same place as us. We are in the place where souls complete their purification of the slightest imperfection. My sister, look at this oven, this dark prison! It is immense, it is an expanse that our eyes have difficulty defining and plunging to the bottom, on all sides without width. ́

If you could see, my dear children, what tender charity! And this soul who is soon going to heaven adds: ‘Do not cry, beloved sister! When I am in heaven, by the grace of the Divine Spouse, I will inspire my dear benefactors to pray to transform your three months into three weeks!’ Sometimes as soon as the judgment is made, Jesus says: ‘Dear soul, it is for six months that you have condemned yourself to suffer.’ The Holy Virgin Mary is there, St. Joseph, the Guardian angel, the patron saints who say: ́O Divine Son, O Divine Spouse, if the good souls of the earth are multiplied, (i.e. if enough good souls pray for them) you will shorten the expiation! ́ And Jesus responds: ‘To the extent of the holiness of prayers, to the extent of indulgences well earned, to the extent of the Holy Sacrifice worthily celebrated! But the priest must think many times about the soul for whom he is celebrating. His thought in the holy mysteries will (then) have a double fruit.’ Often, many souls still remain (in Purgatory) because the Holy Sacrifice is celebrated sometimes without even a thought for the soul for which they pray, for whom they apply all the merits of the holy Passion. Oh! They will pay dearly for these distractions, these failures of faith at the holy altar! They don’t think about their responsibility.

During the entire month dedicated to these dear prisoner souls, (November) I assure you that heaven has crowned an innumerable multitude of these holy souls. (i.e. many are released during this month.) Rejoice in it! In heaven, the first request they make, after thanking my Divine Son, myself and my holy spouse Joseph, is to ask for the graces to assist you in your life and especially on your deathbed. They beg Divine Love. They ask Him to come and get you, you who opened the gates of heaven to them with the Immaculate Queen … ”

Jesus: “I grant it to you, even before the last breath. …

(NOTE: i.e. He grants the request of the released souls, even before the last breath of the person they are interceding for. The next lines seem to be Our Lord’s directions to the souls in Heaven we help to release from Purgatory – He tells them to help us in our last moments and they will be a fortress for us against Satan’s last attacks upon our souls as we come before our Judgement).

Jesus: “ … Approach the souls that I love, you will make them feel the grace that you carry. You will be a fortress against the last struggles of Satan who will not leave them before arriving at the Holy Tribunal. There he will try again, but he is pushed back to the bottom of the abyss.”

Our Lady: “My beloved children, you who have the consolation of knowing those you love are happy, (i.e. for those who may have received the signal graces of knowingtheir family members souls are saved), (also remember to) pray for the souls who no longer have anyone of their own on earth! Because often, these poor souls don’t have a prayer (said for them). Finally, let the charity of my dear children think about this. If you saw them in Heaven, these radiant and resplendent souls! (i.e if we could only picture them released from Purgatory and as saints interceding on our behalf, this should excite our charity for them even further.) They are suns, globes of love and beauty. The soul is reflected in these braziers, as if the Face of Jesus were encompassed in a sun. They are splendors of glory, all bearing the palm. It is according to how they pleased the Divine Spouse. Sometimes it is the palm of the cross, sometimes it is the palm of love, sometimes it is a torch of love, sometimes it is a luminous book. In these pure souls, all the lights, all the knowledge are arranged. These dear souls (in Purgatory) are much more with you (i.e closer to you) than they were on earth. They see your crosses, your pains, nothing is hidden from them. They have a clear vision of all your tenderness for them and, in blessing you, they bless you with me.29

That above promise, is what Father Ripperger calls a “no purgatory free card”, and in a sense, if I may say so, those who choose to do without the Seven Sorrows Rosary, is essentially another way of “subverting sacrifice” (as the soul will not even give up time out of their day to say the Seven Sorrows Rosary) and are ultimately willfully choosing purgatory so they don’t have to suffer now, as part of the Church Militant. Do you know how lazy that sounds? It is actually virtue, not pride, to desire heaven at the moment of death and to be aiming higher than purgatory after this life; we should be doing all we can to make it to heaven, as saints! Our Lady is saying She Herself “obtained this grace” from Her Divine Son to entirely wipe away our purgatory time by praying simply this Rosary, and you’re going to pass that up? I can assure you, the Church Suffering would give anything to have had this opportunity, and as they suffer, you choose to “subvert”? All I can say to those who don’t want their purgatory time wiped is, “have fun in purgatory”?

However, there is a semi-scary side to this; the human failing element type of reaction of it all, if you will, that tells us Our Lady will see to it that we suffer our purgatory on earth, and THAT… is the immensely difficult part, indeed. The Seven SorrowsRosary has obtained for us this great gift of “no purgatory”, but that also means we will be learning to “suffer well”… a lot. But fear not! Who is there to sweeten the cross and grace us with Her sweet presence? MARY. The way that Satan subverts sacrifice, as I said earlier, is through making us believe God is not loveable, and not a God of love Who loves us infinitely. This is where Mary comes in. Mary found God so utterly irresistible that She could deny Him NOTHING. She just kept saying: FIAT! We do that with those we love, do we not? When we trust them and know that they are good, there is not anything we would not do for them, because that is what true and sacrificial love looks like (again, totally foreign to narcissists). Mary shows us God for Who He really is: irresistible. My first step to seeing this was first seeing how irresistible SHE is. When I had that aversion to the Sacred Heart, I purposely resisted what crosses He sent me, but when I felt the nudge of Mary, I gave in.

I could not resist Her sweetness, Her goodness, and in a sense… Her Motherly charm? My new favorite motto is there is no love without courage and there is no courage without love; what makes us NOT subvert sacrifice is love. But it takes a lot of courage to love because it requires a lot of sacrifice on our part, and not subverting it, but when we choose love, we find we have the courage to do the most radical things for God. Loving Mary taught me to do this for Her, and in loving Her, She teaches us to do this for God, because He is good, very good. By doing it for Her, we ARE doing it for God. Our acts of not subverting sacrifice boils down to our charity. Charity as I have displayed is active at this moment in purgatory by the dear, DEAR souls in the Church Suffering; they see all the sufferings of the Church Militant, and when that faithful day comes where the souls from the Church Militant and the souls of the Church Suffering see God face to face and enter into their heavenly home, they will see the Church Triumphant and remember the words of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face:

What I mean by calling Therese a “mini Immaculate Conception”, which of course is a rather bold statement, is that Therese once expressed how she never consciously denied God anything. In short, she did not subvert sacrifice. She was not kidding when she said she would be love in the heart of the Church, her Mother, because through love, and love alone (courage as I stated earlier as well), do we learn to cease subverting sacrifice. Perfect charity casts out fear. Therese helps us do this, and because she, in a very beautiful imitation of Our Heavenly Queen, never denied Our Lord anything, He thus does not deny her anything as a reward for her heroic faith she displayed in her short, but precious life. Many will say Therese is overrated, too “flowery” or even feminine; I will counter that with everything that I am and state and re-enforce once more the declaration that THERESE IS THE GREATEST SAINT OF MODERN TIMES. She was declared that for a reason. Woe to those to doubt that, mock Therese or even endeavor to say this beloved Saint isn’t needed. Oh, she is needed, alright, and one day, all of the Church will associate her with the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. You think she is loved now? You have not seen anything yet.

1.) The prophecy of Simeon (sorrow for sin)
2.) The flight into Egypt (courage)
3.) The loss of the Child Jesus for three days in the temple (detachment and patience)
4.) The meeting of Jesus and Mary on the road to calvary (love of Jesus and Mary)
5.) The crucifixion and death of Jesus (self-denial) 6.) Jesus is taken down from the cross and placed in the arms of His Mother (purity)
7.) The burial of Jesus (hope)

In the fourteenth century, Our Lady revealed to Saint Bridget of Sweden seven special graces that She would grant to those devoted to Her Sorrows. She spoke at length to St. Bridget about the Passion of Her Son and Her own Sorrows, and made these promises to those who would say seven Hail Marys daily while meditating on Her tears and sufferings:

1.) I will grant peace to their families.
2.) They will be enlightened about the divine Mysteries.

3.) I will console them in their pains, and I will accompany them in their work.

4.) I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of My divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.

5.) I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.

6.) I will visibly help them at the moment of their death—they will see the Face of their Mother.

7.) I have obtained this grace from My divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to My tears and dolors will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven, and My Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.

1.) That those who invoke the divine Mother by Her sorrows, before death will merit to obtain true repentance of all their sins.

2.) That He will protect such in their tribulations, especially at the hour of death.

3.) That He will impress upon them the memory of His passion, and that they shall have their reward for it in heaven.

4.) That He will commit such devout servants to the hands of Mary, that She may dispose of them according to Her pleasure and obtain for them all the graces She desires.

Our Lady’s Five Promises of the Seven Sorrows Rosary:

1.) With the recitation of the Seven Sorrows Rosary, the hardest hearts shall change, if you pray it for yourself or for others.

2.) By the recitation of the Seven Sorrows Rosary, you shall be freed from obsessions and addiction.

3.) This Rosary, when said from the heart, will obtain for the soul true repentance of sins and free them from guilt and remorse.

4.) Those who say it often, especially as recommended by Our Lady to Marie Claire [Kibeho visionary], on Tuesdays and Fridays, shall obtain clear understanding of their weaknesses and flaws, causing them to sin. In short, Our Lady reveals the soul’s greatest defect, which is found at the center, surrounded by all the other faults.

5.) You shall obtain whatever you ask for through this Rosary, praying this Rosary from the heart.

Mary's Secretary Websites and etsy shop:

People ask, "how can you be writing or watching the news as a hermit?" and I have one simple answer: once we begin living the call we will NOT be. But in the limbo we have had to do what we can to make connections to bring this vocation to fruition. I am also SO THANKFUL that I have been able to heal, mature, write and dive so deep into political matters regarding the world and the Church that now I know what to "unburden what has been" as wannabe Kamala would say, and enter 100% into a life of solitude, ONLY devoting our lives to the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the restoration of the rock of Peter and the Holy Land. Outside of an occasional newsletter, as most orders have that anyways, we will be silent focusing solely on loving the Trinity and Mary. No more phones. The only form of tech we would like to keep in the spirit of Saint Max Kolbe is our open website and our etsy shop through the disciplined use of a single desktop computer and printer. In Max's time he believed in the printing press for the glory of the Immaculata; the best equipment for Her he would say, and the poorest of the poor for his friars. How glorious!

Pray an Our Father now for reparation for the sins committed because of Francis’s Amoris Laetitia and for the restoration of the Church.

Stop for a moment of silence, ask Jesus Christ what He wants you to do now and next. In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost – Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace. Make this a practice. By doing this you are doing more good than reading anything here or anywhere else on the Internet.

l– Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales totally confirmed beyond any doubt the possibility of a heretical pope and what must be done by the Church in such a situation:

“[T]he Pope… WHEN he is EXPLICITLY a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church, and the Church MUST either deprive him, or, as some say, declare him deprived, of his Apostolic See.”
(The Catholic Controversy, by St. Francis de Sales, Pages 305-306)

Saint Robert Bellarmine, also, said “the Pope heretic is not deposed ipso facto, but must be declared deposed by the Church.”

Pray an Our Father now for the grace to know God’s Will and to do it.

Pray an Our Father now for America.

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church as well as the Triumph of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

5 Dubia Questions for 1P5's Steve Skojec & All faithful Catholics especially Francis is definitely Pope Cardinals, Bishops & pundits

Here are five really short and easy to answer dubia questions which hopefully aren't too complicated for Steve Skojec, publisher of the One Peter Five website, to answer. To make it really easy for the publisher of One Peter Five it has been formatted so that he only has to answer: yes or no. 1. Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales said "The Pope... when he is explicitly a heretic... the Church must either deprive him or as some say declare him deprived of his Apostolic See." Was St. Francis de Sales a Sedevacantist or a Benevacantist? Answer: yes or no. 2. "Universal Acceptance" theologian John of St. Thomas said "This man in particular lawfully elected and accepted by the Church is the supreme pontiff." Was John of St. Thomas for saying "the supreme pontiff" must be BOTH "lawfully elected and accepted by the Church" a Sedevacantist or a Benevacantist? Answer: yes or no. 3. Do you think that a "supreme pontiff...

Fr. Chad Ripperger's Breastplate of St. Patrick (Modified) & Binding Prayer ("In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and God, and by the power of the Most Holy Catholic Church of Jesus, I render all spirits impotent...")

Deliverance Prayers II  The Minor Exorcisms and Deliverance Prayers compiled by Fr Chad Ripperger: Breastplate of St. Patrick (Modified) I bind (myself, or N.) today to a strong virtue, an invocation of the Trinity. I believe in a Threeness, with a confession of an Oneness in the Creator of the Universe. I bind (myself, or N.) today to the virtue of Christ’s birth with his baptism, to the virtue of his crucifixion with his burial, to the virtue of his resurrection with his ascension, to the virtue of his coming to the Judgment of Doom. I bind (myself, or N.) today to the virtue of ranks of Cherubim, in obedience of Angels, in service of Archangels, in hope of resurrection for reward, in prayers of Patriarchs, in preaching of Apostles, in faiths of confessors, in innocence of Holy Virgins, in deeds of righteous men. I bind (myself, or N.) today to the virtue of Heaven, in light of Sun, in brightness of Snow, in splendor of Fire, in speed of l...

Mary's Secretary - My Spat with Tim Gordon: "Well, 'either one gives up the scapular or they give up immodesty'. The point is they cannot coexist."

By Mary's Secretary In my book  The Practice of the Presence of Mary: To Live and Die with Mary , I dedicated Part II to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Her scapular (fitting as Her feast is approaching), and I specifically mentioned how the scapular and spaghetti straps DO NOT go together. What I mean by that is I have noticed that those in the Church who DO NOT follow the Catholic dress code typically aren’t the ones wearing the scapular. I went on to say that modesty and the scapular go together and if you ever  were  immodest in dress, the scapular, being Our Lady’s sacramental that it is, gives one the grace to BECOME modest.  I can attest to this in my own life. Only after I was enrolled in the scapular did I begin, little by little, become modest. It’s a process. Kind of like the rosary quote, “one either gives up the sin or they give up the rosary.” Well, “either one gives up the scapular or they give up immodesty”. The point is they cannot coexist. In fact...
