“A Necklace of Hope”:
Miraculous Medal Poem Prophecy:

The Symbol of the Miraculous Medal: the “sign” and “symbol” for the Book of the Apocalypse
Personal Story of how the Medal became the center of the Marian Vow:
It all began with my Great Grandma. I have spoken about her in some of my other various works, The Practice of the Presence of Mary: To Live and Die With Mary, but my Great Grandma Marie Clemence Lucienne Dubois (obviously 100% French) gave me my first Miraculous Medal, when I was in middle school, and it was she who taught me the importance of true devotion to Mary. Her name translates to “Mary’s merciful light” (Marie Clemence Lucienne), and that proved to be absolutely nothing but true for me personally. Grandma Dubois brought Mary into my heart during one of the hardest years of my young adult life. At around nine or ten years old, I had little to cling to as far as “hope” because everything I knew and loved was either taken or changed that year. A family member once put a necklace of Buddha around my neck and me, not knowing the difference yet, showed Grandma Dubois who demanded I take the thing off IMMEDIATELY. She replaced it with my first ever Miraculous Medal.

Several years later, before or after her funeral, the family was going through her house and deciding what to keep or sell; she was known for her Catholic book collection which in a series of notes she left, said the remainder of the books could go to her friend’s Catholic store AFTER I took what I wanted. I was beyond touched. As I was going through all her bins of Catholic medals, a large silver Miraculous Medal stood out to me. It was a lot larger than the normal sized Miraculous Medals one normally sees and rather than the “Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee” being in English or French, it was in Latin. I was given the “okay” to keep the medal, and this is where something truly “miraculous” began (pun intended). I began wearing it around my neck, and I do not know exactly when the full transformation took place, but the entire SILVER medal turned GOLD in a matter of months. When I began telling people this, they thought that was odd or impossible because many had heard of gold turning to silver (if the gold was fake), but not silver into gold.
A year or so before that I had a profound experience with a bicycle I bought to get to and from work, and so grateful that I was able to afford the bike as my means of transportation that I named the bike “Mary” in honor of Her. Not long after purchasing it, one side of the tire rim turned completely gold; I mean the entire side of the rim surrounding the tire turned gold. On only ONE side. I mention that because I tried to attribute it to the sun, but then I realized that the other tire was not affected at all, and the tire that did change, remember, it was on a single side. People at work began noticing and said, “did you get a new tire?” and when I said “no”, it turned gold by itself, we all couldn’t get over it. So, when it happened with my Grandma’s Miraculous Medal, and then of course the tire, after naming the bike Mary, I saw the connection: it’s Mary. They were not changed by the “sun” but the “Son”. “Clothed with the Son” in regards to anything attributed to Mary turning gold. The image of the Miraculous Medal, featured at the top, is the one I found from Grandma Dubois’ things, the one that turned gold. This was the very model of bike and color of sea foam green that stopped selling in 2016, so you can imagine the look of one single tire, mind you only on one single side, being gold:

God’s Providence, and surrendering to it, is the only way we can become saints. It is so important that if people were to ask me, how can they heal, become perfect, suffer well or have charity in their hearts by an ordered and sacrificial love of God, I would say:
1.) Devotion to Mary.
2.) The Sacraments of the Catholic Church.
3.) Surrender to Divine Providence.
4.) Pray the Seven Sorrows Rosary as well, EVERYDAY.
Nothing more, nothing less. It is nothing short of Providence that the Miraculous Medal is our “sign” for the days of the Apocalypse, the return of Elijah and Henoch, and the ultimate defeat of anti-Christ. Without Mary, we tend to be “self- serving”, but the opposite of that vice is love of neighbor: charity. Mary, through Her medal of grace, infuses Her very spirit into our souls by breathing Her life of service into us: love of God and love of neighbor. Self service is the very behavior of demons roaming and “prowling about the world seeking the ruin of souls”, outside of sexual sins which is running rampant in our sin-stained world today, these demonic behaviors of sins of the flesh are typically tied to self- service (narcissism) and disordered passions. Again, all of these are demonic behaviors, because the fallen angels serve themselves, hate themselves and seek to corrupt as many souls as possible before the day of judgement. Narcissism is so big a threat, as we have seen, that it is even found in the Catholic Church.
With Catholics, they may have the attitude of, “I do not commit sins of the flesh” (thinking this is enough) but they beat their breast loudly at Church for all to hear. On our Our Lady of Seven Sorrows tab, we discuss why everything begins and ends with the virtue of charity with the Church Militant, Church Suffering and Church Triumphant, but I must at least introduce in this tab how we can obtain this charity, which will be the only thing that does not pass away. Even Purgatory, is smothered in charity, because it’s all they have in that “temporary hell”. All is charity, and when you hear, “you shall know them by their fruit”, when one asks what that fruit of Mary’s medal is supposed to be, the long and short answer is: charity. Charity is obtained solely through grace. How can we obtain this grace? Bells should be ringing right now! MARY. There are four extra precious ways outside the Sacraments we can gain these great graces, because Mary Herself asked us to:
1.) Wear the Miraculous Medal around the neck.
2.) Wear the Scapular of Mount Carmel and beenrolled.
3.) Pray the most Holy Rosary every day.
4.) ALSO pray the Seven Sorrows Rosary everyday.

Are you doing those four things? Notice howevery promise tied to the embracing of these devotions is linked to “grace”. The Miraculous Medal was originally called the Medal of the Immaculate Conception, but, because of the numerous accounts of miracles by those who wore it, people began to call it the Miraculous Medal, and the name stuck. Those who wear it will receive “great graces”, especially if they wear it around the neck. Those who repeat this prayer (O’ Mary conceived…) with devotion will be, in a special manner, under the protection of the Mother of God. Graces will be abundantly bestowed upon those who have confidence.
There are too many to count, but if you research all the GRACES tied to the above devotions, you will understand how all really is a grace. Are you really willing to pass up these great gifts designed by the Mother of God Herself? She is the artist; it was She who created these devotions and She who extended the invitation. Maximilian Kolbe called the Miraculous Medal Our Lady’s “bullets”, because after a Jewish man converted to Catholicism for wearing the medal, he was determined to spread awareness. I was recalling Suzanne Collin’s trilogy The Hunger Games. About a time in the future, in what was once North America, the Capitol of Panem maintains its hold on its 12 districts by forcing them each to select a boy and a girl, called Tributes, to compete in a nationally televised event called the Hunger Games. Every citizen must watch as the youths fight to the death until only one remains. District 12 Tribute Katniss Everdeen has little to rely on, other than her hunting skills and sharp instincts, in an arena where she must weigh survival against love.
Katniss, the hero and main character of the story, through her acts of rebellion by merely being herself: selfless and compassionate, causes the districts to have the courage to fight back and over-throw the communist government. Without realizing it, she becomes the symbol of hope, just by being herself. There is literal symbolism, because when she volunteers to take her sister’s place in the arena, her district gifts her with a Mockingjay pin; a symbol hated by the capital, but this pin and symbol later becomes the symbol of the revolution, with Katniss herself becoming the LIVING Mockingjay. One of my favorite lines about why she is chosen to be the symbol of the rebellion is due to her unique and fiery spirit that proves to be very influential in winning over the districts to rise up against the corrupt Capital of Panem. The president in charge of the rebellion sees that Katniss is a little rough around the edges, Plutarch Heavensbee, the head game maker says this remarkable and noteworthy line :
This is the only choice you have. People don’t always show up the way you want them to, Madame President. But that anger, that anger-driven defiance, that’s what we want. And we can redirect it.

In fact, Katniss is so unpredictable and introverted, that many don’t know what she will do next and can often be seen as a ticking time bomb. She has the ability to converse, but chooses not to. THAT is the real definition of introversion. It is nothing that needs to be fixed, and it does not mean that they do not have the ability to be social… but they would rather not. They get their supply and energy from solitude, while extroweirdos get their supply and energy from large crowds. And it’s because she doesn’t want to lead, that she is meant to. The best leaders are the reluctant ones, because they are not power hungry, rather be doing something else, but because they have the ability to influence others, they sort of don’t have a choice. God chooses these types of people all over the Old and New Testament.
But how the Mockingjay symbol reminded me of the Miraculous Medal and my Great Grandma was how Katniss, whose Dad died years prior, used to love Mockingjays. Her Father had a beautiful voice, passed onto Katniss, and Mockingjays were known to repeat songs. The Mockingjay was part of her life for years without even knowing it would one day become intertwined with her destiny and in a way, a “sign” her Dad was giving her his blessing. It of course entirely hit me full face recently that the symbol for our time is the Miraculous Medal because the image depicts a triumphant and victorious Mary, and it’s a reminder to Satan that Mary has already won. The battle’s fought; the deed is done. There is a song in the books as well as the film titled “hanging tree”(the very song I changed the lyrics to above titled “Maiden’s Tree”); a tune taught to Katniss by her Father before his death, but she was not allowed to sing it in public. There is a line in the films that was changed, going against the book, and when I heard it, I knew:
Wear a necklace of hope, side by side with me.
I knew it was the Miraculous Medal reference whispered by Our Lady. My point is, we Catholics are battling demons in all their forms (narcissism, indoctrination, propaganda, bioweapons and sexual perversion) and as we reach the climax of the days of the Apocalypse, never in our Church’s history will we experience what is about to take place, and nor will it be ever experienced again. “Only She can help you.” Mary is our symbol, and as She becomes one with Holy Mother Church, and we stand “side by side” in perfect unity, THIS is how we will “endure to the end” and be “saved” (Matthew 24). I will end my Miraculous Medal story with another “miracle”: there came a moment when I knew it was time to replace that necklace with the Miraculous Medal full time. I wore an extra-large one for a time, but right when the Hunger Games Trilogy symbolism fell in my lap, I knew it was time to put on Grandma Dubois’. I did not have a good chain for it and my Mom insisted I have one of her own gold chains to match it. I was never a big gold fan, as even Therese said gold goes against the poverty of religious life, but I also realized that in my wait, there is no harm. She gave me a chain, and one day I was studying it, and could not believe my eyes. Where the chain clasps together was an additional “tag” that read the initials: “VM”. I knew almost instantly it was as if Our Lady was saying: “VIRGIN MARY”.
I included this “VM” in the picture above. Again, hope is the only thing stronger than fear, and Mary is our hope. Just as Katniss’ Father’s spirit lived on through the Mockingjay, later becoming her symbol, so too is Holy Mother Church’s symbol the Miraculous Medal, where Mary’s “spirit rejoices” (Magnificat). And one of the very best symbolisms that ended in the Third Book Mockingjay which of course brought me to tears, “Lo Sentia” as Teresa of Jesus would say, was my reaction to the description of what the color yellow means. Remember when I said the color yellow just kept popping up? What is the name of the very song found on my home page? YELLOW. How did this cause come to being? YELLOW ROSES. Look what the very last paragraph of the book said this:
I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again.
That Rebirth is also Ecclesia Romana becoming the New Jerusalem. But most importantly, it is the TRIUMPH of Mary’s Immaculate Heart, and Padre Pio prophesied that our generation would live to see it. Fiat!

Eucharistic Symbolism as well as Mockingjay pin’s tie to the Miraculous Medal in the Hunger Games:
“The Hunger Games Book trilogy (Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay) by Suzanne Collins, are great examples of what the Book of the Apocalypse looks like. Throughout this trilogy I found that I was confronted with, in the disguise of futuristic fantasy, a world ripe with not only real and important social ideas at work, but with specifically religious themes present throughout. The image of the Mockingjay itself, which embodies the main theme of the trilogy, has striking congruence with the Cross of Jesus, its historical circumstance, and its theological ramifications.
Additionally, and in a perhaps related way, the Hunger Games trilogy contains a tremendous amount of Eucharistic symbolism for Catholic readers. In it we can not only recognize similarities or coincidences, we are also invited via this imaginary world to see a fictional yet poignant representation of how evil forces seek to breed division within a community and how the power of love overcomes this tendency through sacrificial communion. The violence and division of the “Capitol” in this story meet their opposition in the concrete acts and substance of love and communion which serve as the antidote to oppression.
In the world of the Hunger Games, the controlling group of people (residents of the “Capitol”) retain power over the rest of the population through fear, a fear which they create and sustain in a number of ways. This Capitol clearly carries some semblance of ancient Rome, made evident not only in its style of rule but also blatantly by Roman (Latin) words, names, and terminology sprinkled throughout the story. The name of the nation-state which serves as the backdrop for the Hunger Games is Panem, which is Latin for “bread” (in fact, more specifically, it is translated as “the bread” since it is in the accusative case of the noun).
With this in mind, we look at the assembled population of Panem as “the bread,” making it readily symbolic of the Christian mystical body of Christ. This correlation between fictional Panem and the Church is reinforced by the fact that Panem is constituted of twelve “Districts.” The number twelve is rich in Biblical symbolism as the number of Jacob’s sons that generate the twelve tribes of Israel, which constitute the covenant community of the Old Testament. In the Gospels, Jesus calls exactly twelve Apostles to go forth to all nations to spread the good news and baptize in his name, reintegrating the covenant people of God into one body which previously had been scattered; dismembered if you will.
From the outset of the tale, as readers we can clearly see the realization developing and finally dawning on the hero Katniss that if she wants to survive the Hunger Games, both particularly in the arena event but also generally for the rest of her life and in the lives of her family members, she has to be able to reverse the violence forced upon her by the Capitol. Katniss comes to understand that the Capitol is using violence to perpetuate its own strangle hold on Panem by preventing solidarity among the districts. Charity is stamped out in a world dominated by violence because it stands in direct opposition to the workings of the violent social mechanism put into place by the authoritarian Capitol elite.
A person caught in this violent machine finds no use for Charity; it is a virtue foreign and seemingly useless to their world. For example, Katniss finds Peeta’s kindness early on in the tribute training sessions unnerving since she knows she is going to be pitted up against him in a life or death battle. As a result, Katniss wants to avoid all interaction with Peeta. This is exactly the sort of response the Capitol would have wanted, both in this particular case but more importantly for Panem society in general, because it precludes the ability of the Districts to resist oppression. Katniss reflects on the difference between her relationship with Gale, her friend and hunting partner, and Peeta, her fellow tribute. She recognizes that her relationship with Gale was based on cooperation and mutual survival, while her relationship with Peeta was dominated by rivalry and competition forced by violent oppression.
A telling point made before the games began, and perhaps before Katniss had become conscious of the antidote for the violence of the Capitol, was when their handlers suggested that she and Peeta hold hands during the opening ceremonies. This act of hand holding was aptly described as “a touch of rebellion.” As the story continues, Katniss begins to recognize the rebellious potential of acts of kindness and solidarity. For example, she wonders if one of her and Rue’s conversation aboutlife in the districts will be blocked out on TV because the Capitol does not want districts to know about one another. The Capitol knows that keeping people isolated makes them more fearful; more vulnerable. Solidarity and community consciousness brings confidence and purpose.
In a true Eucharistic community, we must identify with those who have been marginalized and those who are oppressed, standing in solidarity with them in resistance to the evils of the world. It is this type of community that the Capitol does not want the districts to enter into in the Hunger Games, and one that Katniss and others seem to desire and appear to be moving towards throughout the story. For example, Katniss recognizes the need for real solidarity and the shared guilt of violence by those who fail to stand in resistance to it when she recognizes a servant girl at the Capitol who had been abducted by Capitol agents in District 12 after Katniss failed to help her.
Katniss recounts her sense of guilt for standing by. This girl, who was apparently targeted and punished as a subversive, was made into what was known as an avox (another Latin term, literally meaning “without voice”) by having her tongue cut out. This is a perfect example of what a violent and oppressive society such as the Capitol desires: silence. Those who are silent cannot bear witness against their oppressors. It is also a lesson for those who, though they are physically able, fail to bear witness and fail to be the voice for those marginalized and powerless ones who have no voice in society.
At one point during the games, Katniss received a gift of bread from District 11 which had been originally destined for her fellow competitor from that district, Rue, but was transferred to her after Rue’s death. This was the first time in the history of the Hunger Games that a gift had been made between districts. This was a sign that the violent hold the Capitol had over the districts was weakening and that their fear was beginning to give way to hope and love. Later in the story, when Katniss unexpectedly came upon two women in the woods who had fled from another district, one of them held “a small white circle of flat bread” that bore the image of the Mockingjay in the center. Surprised by this sign, Katniss asked “What does that mean?” The woman responded, “It means we’re on your side.”
Circle of bread … image in the center … friendship … community … common mission … peace … resistance … anybody thinking about the Eucharist? Similarly, in the ceremony preceding the quarter quell the victors hold hands on stage, and we are told that it was the “first public show of unity among the districts since the Dark Days.” Later, during the quarter quell games, Finnick, though seeming to have a momentary interior struggle with selfishness, shares his District 4 gift of bread with Peeta and Katniss. This sharing of bread was a reaffirmation of his commitment to solidarity and cooperation.
Before the revolution had begun in earnest, Katniss had a conversation with a seemingly skeptical Haymich about the feasibility of a rebellion against the Capitol. It turns out later that Haymich was being purposefully deceptive, but at this point he gives Katniss the impression that a revolution in District 12 would be impossible, even though the rebels had reportedly had some success in other districts. “Do you still think it won’t work here?” Katniss asks Haymich. “Not yet. Those other districts, they’re much larger. Even if half the people cower in their homes, the rebels stand a chance. Here in Twelve, it’s got to be all of us or nothing.” In our Eucharistic community, we are inter-dependent. We are all called to lay our gifts down as offerings to Christ at the service of our neighbor. The resources of the devil are plentiful. Satan’s minions are well supplied with willing participants and advocates. It is going to take all of us if we want to enact change in our culture.
Our Lord invites us to find our safety and security in him by accepting membership in his Body through Holy Communion. When we celebrate the Eucharist we celebrate the Risen Victim—the one who was persecuted by man but was obedient to God until death and who was raised from death by the God who is love. The Eucharist proves once and for all that love conquers death every time. With this in mind, we can see how these ideas can be found in the Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta survive because of love. Their love ruins the plan of the Capitol and ends up destroying the power the Capitol had over its citizens. The Capitol is the kingdom of Satan, which is overthrown by Passion, death, and Resurrection of Jesus. Through Katniss the people of Panem began to overcome their fear, form community, and break out of the system of coercion and oppression that had ruled over them. This is what Christ does for us through his Body: the Church and the Eucharist.25”

People ask, "how can you be writing or watching the news as a hermit?" and I have one simple answer: once we begin living the call we will NOT be. But in the limbo we have had to do what we can to make connections to bring this vocation to fruition. I am also SO THANKFUL that I have been able to heal, mature, write and dive so deep into political matters regarding the world and the Church that now I know what to "unburden what has been" as wannabe Kamala would say, and enter 100% into a life of solitude, ONLY devoting our lives to the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the restoration of the rock of Peter and the Holy Land. Outside of an occasional newsletter, as most orders have that anyways, we will be silent focusing solely on loving the Trinity and Mary. No more phones. The only form of tech we would like to keep in the spirit of Saint Max Kolbe is our open website and our etsy shop through the disciplined use of a single desktop computer and printer. In Max's time he believed in the printing press for the glory of the Immaculata; the best equipment for Her he would say, and the poorest of the poor for his friars. How glorious!
Pray an Our Father now for reparation for the sins committed because of Francis’s Amoris Laetitia and for the restoration of the Church.
Stop for a moment of silence, ask Jesus Christ what He wants you to do now and next. In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost – Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace. Make this a practice. By doing this you are doing more good than reading anything here or anywhere else on the Internet.

– Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales totally confirmed beyond any doubt the possibility of a heretical pope and what must be done by the Church in such a situation:
