There is No Reason for Cdl. Burke not to Call for an Imperfect Council

News: Fr. Nix joins Bp. Gracida & Attorney Chris Ferrara in Calling for a "Imperfect Council"

Fr. David Nix joined Bishop Rene Gracida and pro-life attorney in urging for a "imperfect council" to be called to investigate the validity of the 2013 conclave that elected Francis, the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI and possibly for declaring Francis to be a explicit heretic. - The Catholic Monitor [https://4christum.blogspot.com/2019/10/fr-nix-joins-bp-gracida-attorney-chris.html?m=1]

Many times the posts in the Catholic Monitor comment section are better than many of my posts. This time a long time reader, Ana Milan, wrote a excellent comment which needed to be a posted:

There is no reason for Cardinal Burke not to call for an Imperfect Council in order to clarify once & for all that the Canons governing papal resignations & PJPII's Rules covering papal election procedures were transparently kept to, as it doesn't appear to the general laity that they were. He must realise that the Papacy cannot be bifurcated & that PBXVI was improperly coerced into abandoning the Church by foul means, so why must adherents to the OHCA Church of Christ continue to tolerate a Marxist/Masonic Bishop of Rome who does not want the title Vicar of Christ?

It was reported that there was an extra vote counted in favour of AF that has never been explained & Cardinals of the St. Gallen Group admitted afterwards that they had made many 'phone calls with the intention of persuading fellow Cardinals to vote for AF who was 'their man'. Such enthusiasm counts as electioneering!

Does Cardinal Burke really believe that a truly elected Pope would hand over 7M Chinese Catholics to the CCP for $2B per annum? How does he stand with the Abu Dhabi Declaration that God desires all religions & the Pachamama disaster within the walls of the Vatican with a follow-up Amazonian Synod later in the year?

Being an American Cardinal he must know that the USCCB is a melting pot of homosexually disordered prelates but never condemns their activities, nor has he pushed for the truth about the McCarrick Investigation to be published - that might just be the end to the American Church! The African Cardinals also are very silent about the slaughter of Christians in their countries, especially Nigeria, which is a public scandal.
Here is the old post:
Dr. Taylor Marshall: "McCarrick... perhaps... [did] something Uncanonical in Regards to the Election of Bergoglio"
Yesterday, Thomist scholar Dr. Taylor Marshall in his popular YouTube podcast said that "McCarrick... perhaps... [did] something uncanonical in regards to the election of Bergoglio":

"We also learned that McCarrick who is a friend of the St. Gallen mafia. In a Villanova video he talked about when Benedict resigned that a certain distinguished Italian gentleman spoke about getting Bergoglio elected. It almost sounds like a campaign. McCarrick actually confessed that this happened before all this came out about McCarrick. So, we realize that McCarrick was perhaps doing something uncanonical in regards to the election of Bergoglio who goes on to be elected as Pope Francis."
(Watch "Trump Should Investigate McCarrick & His Creepy Bishop Network" on YouTube, July 19, 2020, 38:35-39:08: https://youtu.be/8H99rRDjjEc)

Catholic pundit Patrick Coffin on his YouTube show asked Cardinal Raymond Burke:

"I was wondering rather if those rules [of the 2013 conclave that elected Francis] were violated and rather or not the whole election of Francis may be invalid. Is there any foundation for that speculation?"

Cardinal Burke answered:

"The only grounds that could be used for calling into question the validity of the election would be were the election organized by a campaign beforehand which is strictly forbiddenand that would be difficult to demonstrate..."

"... If these persons [the St. Gallen Mafia of liberal cardinals] engaged in a active campaign first to undermined Pope Benedict XVI and at the same time to engineer the election of someone [Francis] then that could be a argument. I don't think I have the facts, and there have to be facts, to prove that. That's all I have to say about that."
(Patrick Coffin show, "141: Dubia Cardinal Goes on the Record - Raymond Cardinal Burke (Free Version)," Premiered 13 hours ago, 19:55 to 21:46)

Coffin about a minute later said "Bishop Henry Rene Gracida... has written a Open Letter to the cardinals saying only a imperfect synod could be called and resolve this."

According to Cardinal Burke proving that the St. Gallen Mafia "undermined Pope Benedict XVI and at the same time engineer[ed] the election of someone [Francis]" would be "very difficult to demonstrate," but possible if a real investigation for evidence took place it could possibly be proven that Francis is a antipope.

Bishop Rene Gracida has convincingly demonstrated that there is valid evidence that Pope John Paul II's conclave constitution "Universi Dominici Gregis" which "prescribe[d].. [the] method for the election of his successor(s)" was violated and must be investigated by Cardinals. If, after the investigation, Francis is found to be a antipope then a new pope would have to be elected after Benedict XVI's resignation is investigated to see if his resignation was valid.

Renowned Catholic historian Warren Carroll explicitly says that what matters in a valid papal election is not how many cardinals claim a person is the pope. What is essential for determining if someone is pope or antipope is the "election procedures... [asgoverned by the prescription of the last Pope":

"Papal election procedures are governed by the prescription of the last Pope who provided for them (that is, any Pope can change them, but they remain in effect until they are changed by a duly elected Pope)."

"During the first thousand years of the history of the Papacy the electors were the clergy of Rome (priests and deacons); during the second thousand years we have had the College of Cardinals."

"But each Pope, having unlimited sovereign power as head of the Church, can prescribe any method for the election of his successor(s) that he chooses. These methods must then be followed in the next election after the death of the Pope who prescribed it, and thereafter until they are changed.  A Papal claimant not following these methods is also an Antipope."

"Since Antipopes by definition base their claims on defiance of proper Church authority, all have been harmful to the Church, though a few have later reformed after giving up their claims."

Remember what renowned Catholic historian Carroll said:

"A Papal claimant not following these methods [of the Pope John Paul II's conclave constitution] is also an Antipope."

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church as well as for the Triumph of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Pray an Our Father now for reparation for the sins committed because of Francis's Amoris Laetitia.

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church as well as the Triumph of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Stop for a moment of silence, ask Jesus Christ what He wants you to do now and next. In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost - Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace. Make this a practice. By doing this you are doing more good than reading anything here or anywhere else on the Internet.

Francis Notes:

- Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales totally confirmed beyond any doubt the possibility of a heretical pope and what must be done by the Church in such a situation:

"[T]he Pope... WHEN he is EXPLICITLY a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church, and the Church MUST either deprive him, or, as some say, declare him deprived, of his Apostolic See."
(The Catholic Controversy, by St. Francis de Sales, Pages 305-306)

Saint Robert Bellarmine, also, said "the Pope heretic is not deposed ipso facto, but must be declared deposed by the Church."

Burke is not going to call any council unless he has more support in the Vatican, and that's looking very unlikely. Burke has never once said that Francis is not Pope, nor questioned the validity of his conclave. Another Beneplenist dream or hope of removing Francis..it'll never happen in reality.

Benedict is not Pope anymore.

Beneplenists don't hope to "remove" Bergoglio, because he was never pope in the first place. The dream would be to get people like you to look up the definition of the term "reality" before attempting to use it in a sentence, but I agree with you on this one point--some things just aren't going to happen.

There is the old tale about Galileo trying to reason with those who had a knee-jerk reaction against the heliocentric theory he was attempting to vindicate. It goes something like this:

"But it is obvious that the Sun revolves around the Earth!"

"How do you know?"

"Because that's what it looks like."

"Well, what would it look like if the Earth was revolving around the Sun?"

In the same way you, Anon, rather tediously rehearse for us certain irrefutable features of the present bipapal situation, as though that dataset can only be accounted for one way (conveniently, your own).

Yes, what you describe is how things would look if Bergoglio became the pope after a valid resignation by Benedict XVI.

It is also how things would look if Bergoglio became a usurping anti-pope after an uninvestigated, invalid attempt at resignation by Benedict XVI.

Which is the whole point.

There were a lot of people who couldn't wrap their heads around the heliocentric theory, either, but reality never reinvented itself in deference to their limited appreciation of it--nor is it likely to begin doing so just for you.

Anonymous 1, are you just here to troll or do you have something substantive to say?

What do you think God is going to say to you if you are wrong? Neither would I want to be those apologists who defend Pachamama as not idolatry.

Justina: that is a really good example. So much of our conclusions are based on the prepositional “if” (if this, then that). Galileo went back and revisited the well established “if”, scientifically tested it and found it in error. His observations of physical reality led to a new “if”.

“If” the earth is the center of the solar orbiting system then …
“If” the earth is not the center … then …

“If” the See is vacant, then …
“If” the See is not vacant, then …

"For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours, the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a Conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is.

Dear Brothers, I thank you most sincerely for all the love and work with which you have supported me in my ministry and I ask pardon for all my defects. And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal solicitude, in electing a new Supreme Pontiff. With regard to myself, I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future through a life dedicated to prayer.

Notice, Pope Benedict the date and time his resignation would come into effect and declared that the See of Peter would be vacant at that time and that a Conclave would be convened to elect a new Supreme Pontiff. It is as simple and simple can be."
-Benedict XVI

Giving up the See of Peter is giving up the Munus and all authority associated.

Aqua said…
Anonymous said: "Giving up the See of Peter is giving up the Munus and all authority associated."

That is equivalent to "The sun and all planets moves across the sky and so the earth is the center of the solar system".

Giving up the Munus means resigning the Munus and properly manifesting the resignation (also required by 332.2) by separating completely, vacating the premises, abandoning all titles and all visible symbols (and not just s little bit).

"Giving up the See, while remaining in the See is what Canon Law 188 refers to as ... *substantial error*. Which renders the resignation *invalid* by the law itself.

You can say the See is vacant all you want. But, just as those who pointed to the sky and say "the sun is moving, the earth is not, therefor the earth is the center of the solar system"; so also those who say the "He said the See is vacant, therefor it is vacant" - both commit the error of judgement without first possessing the complete set of underlying facts.

The See is *actually and truly* vacant when the occupant of the See resigns the Munus in writing and in word and thrn properly manifests that resignation of Munus by complete separation in every possible way, most obviously by leaving and returning to his prior state. Resigning the ministerium, remaining as before, appearing as before, titles as before and insisting ongoing occupancy "now and forever within the enclosure of St. Peter" ... that is NOT "Giving up the See".

Saying it is so, does not make it so. We live in an age of "I identify as xxx", and we are required to assent - a man is now a woman; that man can now give birth (etc). This is very much like that. "The See identifies as vacant". "Yeeeaaah, buuuut ... it's not vacant".
Aqua said…
Anonymous said: " ... and all authority associated."

The Papal Munus is not just material authority. The Munus is also a spiritual connection to God. This connection is specifically that which Benedict XVI retained - "firmly and forever within the enclosure of St. Peter ... in a life of prayer and contemplation".

The Papacy is a Monarchy. The Pope is the visible and real Monarch of God. As such he is the most powerful man on the planet, not because he makes the rules for a large bureaucracy, but because he acts directly in the name of God.

This is why, you cannot have a "retired" Pope. You cannot just resign the bureaucratic administration of government, which is specifically what Pope Benedict XVI did. His replacement has *authority*. He does not have God. That is the precise definition of antipope - which is supported by the veritable geyser of heresy that flows from the man.

The pre-cedent problem is not the heresy. The problem is the invalid placement of a second occupant to an already occupied Papal Munus - by mutual acclaim and acceptance, by people just like you - now two, perhaps three or more. Deformed and transformed at the cornerstone - confusion, disunity, heresy, growing apostasy the natural result. It will never end until we fix what has been broken. We cannot move past this until it is fixed - its "logic" rejected as from the devil - Father Of Lies.

There is a movie out, by Daily Wire's Matt Walsh - "What Is A Woman". An interesting clip is Walsh interviewing Maasai tribesmen, asking them if the perverted pagan American understanding of "gender fluidity" makes sense to them, or whether they have a more intuitive understanding of the definition of Man and Woman. Funny clip ... because they have the ability, in their simplicity to laugh at us in our complexity (or, rather, innocence vs perversity).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yAnHFj4IK0

The pagan understanding of "gender" is that it is left to the individual to decide. There is no "definition" of Man and Woman; nor is there even such a thing as a binary restriction of two choices. There is infinite possibilities of genders and all of it is left to the individual imagination. You cannot define anything. There is no "Law" that governs gender. Choose your pronouns; Choose your gender combination; wake up the next day and repeat the process.

This very much reminds me of anonymous's assertion that "the See is vacant" cannot be precisely defined; that it is to be left to the discretion of the person (Pope) making the assertion to define "vacant" in any way that pleases him. "I identify as having left the active portion of Papal Ministry while remaining in the contemplative portion of the Papal Munus and hereby do identify as Pope Emeritus". "My pronouns are Holiness and Pope Emeritus".

The character of God is unchanging Law and perfection. Union with God is submission to God's Law, will, perfection and perfect Love - unchanging, perfect constancy, because it (God's Kingdom) is perfect and cannot change without losing its perfection.

The character of Satan is personal, preference and will to power, usurpation of all that is good, and holy and perfect and taking unto one's own will the power to declare what "is" and what "is not" - perfect chaos, anarchy, because the atoms created by God, for God have left God and are spinning away into the black hole of self will.

Defining See of Peter vacant, when it is not, against clear Canonical Laws, reminds me of this: I identify as vacant. And the result is chaos upon chaos; conflict upon conflict.

Might it be Good for all of us & for Francis to Read about the "Gruesome Death of Arius"?

I have read the letters of your piety , in which you have requested me to make known to you the events of my times relating to myself, and to give an account of that most impious heresy of the Arians , in consequence of which I have endured these sufferings, and also of the manner of the death of Arius . With two out of your three demands I have readily undertaken to comply, and have sent to your Godliness what I wrote to the Monks; from which you will be able to learn my own history as well as that of the heresy . But with respect to the other matter, I mean the death, I debated with myself for a long time, fearing lest any one should suppose that I was exulting in the death of that man. But yet, since a disputation which has taken place among you concerning the heresy , has issued in this question, whether Arius died after previously communicating with the Church ; I therefore was necessarily desirous of giving an account of his death, as thinking that the question woul
