The Catholic Monitor is trying to understand what is going on behind the United States and Russian media narratives. To do this it is best to go to independent thinkers some of which we generally agree with and others that we think miss the mark, but give interesting off the wall insights.
So, here are some intriguing takes on the Russian invasion of the Ukraine and SWIFT's as well as China's possible connection to this event:
- Many experts are saying that the war in Ukraine was totally avoidable. By assuring Russia that Ukraine would not become a member of NATO, Putin had less reason to invade Ukraine. Russia has a legitimate fear of being surrounded by NATO forces with missiles aimed at their cities and troops marching on their border. We didn't want Russia in Cuba for the same reason. But anyone who points this out is being called a "f***ing traitor." Just look what they're saying about Tulsi Gabbard!
- Consider Biden and Clinton's collusion with Ukraine. Perhaps we need to look more closely at what's happening. Hillary, was behind the fake Russian dossier and colluded with Ukraine officials to smear Trump. The New York Post said it should have been called the "Clinton dossier." Do we ever get the truth from the liberal left who all sound like rabid warmongers? What's really going on? Do the liberals want this war? Lots of people make lots of money off war. The military industrial complex hits the jackpot. War is a business bonanza!
- And are you aware that while all eyes are on Russia, China violated Taiwan's air space? It's been happening with increasing frequency in recent years, but this violation was just hours after Russia entered Ukraine. As Russia and China join hands, do you really think the eunuchs developing U.S. defense policy have the ability to protect us against these giants if we end up in a confrontation? The administration has been pushing Putin into the arms of China, a really stupid move. We may still have the second largest arsenal of nuclear weapons on the planet after Russia, but no one wins in a nuclear war. And China has a huge body of military-aged men to put boots on the ground. They haven't been feminized by an army offering pregnancy uniforms for soldiers. And a country that's murdered millions of its own citizens will have no compunction about murdering their enemies. Well, I think once again, Vlad the Fox (who knows many things) has outwitted Slow Joe, the Hedgehog (who knows only one thing; Russia!) . Vlad came un-invited to the All-Ukraine coming-out party hosted by NATO. But Vlad studiously avoided the large buffet. Instead, he went straight to the dessert table, where he is casually (and slowly) nibbling away, chewing very slowly, while talking and laughing with his eastern Ukrainian friends from Donetsk and Lukansk who also came to the party. Those friends no longer consider themselves to be ‘only’ Ukrainians. They are also fully Russian, Da? Vlad obviously feels right at home here, and why not? He too is fully Russian, Da!
There’s a whole story untold here, but the bottom line is this- Vlad is a calm, cool and collected chess player who refuses to get excited or mad. He is obviously working according to a plan that he has confidence in. Chess grand-masters think about every move, well in advance. I have seen nothing that makes me doubt Vlad’s skill or will. And nothing from Emperor Joe that assures me the West has a bright future.
And truth be told, this Western waning may simply be another outgrowth of the badly-done but evidently ‘accepted’ Fatima Consecration. You know, whereby the faithful don’t get the whole enchilada of blessings, but neither do we get the whole foretold chastisement. This slowly unfolding dismemberment of NATO and the Empire may actually be the least violent means of the prophesied Russian ascendancy. Which is still plainly in play.
The wild card, in my mind, is China and Xi, as I think they will now move to eliminate (literally) the Indians, their closest true demographic and numerical nuclear foe. Their foes, the Paki’s, are the perfect foil for this tension, and China is firmly wedded to Pakistan. After all, it was at Lop Nor (in China) that the Paki’s got to test their first (and subsequent) nukes.
And India? It has NO alliances, with us or Russia. No one will come to their aid. The outsourced Help Desk will be closed. Permanento. And once the world sees the savagery that ensues in this theatre, there will be no one that wants to help Taiwan. Or South Korea, or Japan, or the Philippines, or………. (you get the idea). No one in East Asia wants to see the sequel of ‘Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Bombay’, especially at a theatre near them.
Why would China do this? Well, why risk damaging the jewels (Taiwan and the semi-conductor gold mine, etc.) when you can burn down a distant poor neighborhood that no one prizes nor wants to risk life and limb to save? The double benefit, for China, will be a possible decimation (in the true sense) of the Muslim world. No one will notice the disappearance of the Uighurs, I’ll bet. Or the Paki’s who died for Allah.
The reviews of this horror flick will be great reading for NBA die-hards.

Barnhart is well on record for warning about putting any kind of trust in Putin and Russia as any kind of savior. So these warnings are not few in number, and they are not uninformed opinion.
Justifying Russia
All that said, I mentioned Barnhardt intentionally just now. Reason why is because she—and many of us—discovered this factoid shortly after Russia’s bombs fell:

Folks, I know it’s difficult to come to terms with, but the greatest force of evil in the world today is centered in the former United States.
The United States has been studying deadly pathogens at Russia’s doorstep. Just last April, Putin’s adviser accused the U.S. of developing bio weapons at their border. Last October, China and Russia requested that the UN do something to check and limit U.S. bio-capabilities. Of course, as one can expect, the Western Pravda media is accusing Russia of spreading conspiracy theories—but then again, these liars been shit-talking against Russia for five years, now. And let’s take a look at what’s been going on for the past decade with Ukraine. In 2014, we had a delightful little color revolution, courtesy of George Soros and help from the Globohomo. Soros is on record for boasting about his role in all of this:

The U.S. installed a puppet government, and the country’s been a haven for money laundering and scandal. Not just Biden’s drug-addicted son, Hunter, but other low-life children of politicians were set up with cush jobs in the Ukraine—including Nancy Pelosi, Mitt Romney, and John Kerry. And, heck, consider that the current Ukrainian President is nothing but a mere Jewish comedian. If he isn’t apprehended first, I expect Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be fleeing the country with a suitcase of money.
And let’s not forget about NATO, itself. Why does this thing exist anymore? It was put together in 1949 to oppose the Soviet Union. But the Soviet Union was formally defeated. Why is NATO still there? And why on earth is this ridiculous bureaucracy being used as a stick to poke and prod at the Russian Bear?
Worse, a trove of documents conclusively shows that in 1990, Gorbachev was flooded with a cascade of assurances that NATO would not expand eastward. Yet, just last month, Western diplomats attempted to play “revisionist talmudics,” as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken falsely claimed that NATO never promised to admit any new members to its organization.
This is a remarkably stupid game the Fake Biden administration is playing. The neocons are attempting to utilize juvenile narrative-shaping tactics in a world of hardened diplomats and generals who couldn’t care less what a few lawyers assumed back in 1949. It appears the neocons are about to discover that their lawyerly verbal tactics don’t work on people who, unlike Americans and Europeans, are not high-trusting children.

It’s the usual bait-and-switch offered by a deceiver. Even if NATO never made any formal promises not to expand, the leaders of every major Western country at the time promised that NATO would not expand to the EAST, i.e. in the direction of Russia. Which NATO subsequently did after 1991 and the collapse of the Soviet Union that was the raison d’etre for its existence.

I am not a Duganist. I do not believe Russia and China are capable of saving the world with their Eastern values. I think that, in this moment, Putin is riding atop a wave of justifications, and he has a lot of momentum if he needs it. Perhaps Putin will do something in the future that is inexcusable. That remains to be seen.
But I’ll say this: for years, when we’ve read Catholic prophecy—like that of Alois Irlmaier—we’d read on the details about how Russia would invade Europe, and China attacked America’s West Coast. Often when reading this, I imagined those powers as faceless, evil hordes pushing their way into Europe because they were bad guys doing bad guy stuff. But now I cannot help but ask myself: will that future chastising invasion be provoked by the West? A West with enough chutzpah and brazen audacity—such that it didn’t know when to quit? It is said that SJWs always lie and always double down. Will this be the fate of the West? Could it be that the West went woke and then got broke?
