After Republican Larry Elder, the candidate polling best to defeat Gavin Newsom in the California recall election is Democrat Kevin Paffrath who "has criticized Newsom’s approach to COVID and homelessness"

KPBS News reported that the self-proclaimed "JFK-style Democrat" Paffrath says he isn't "far-left" like Newsom and his website "platform includes converting vacant commercial buildings into homeless shelters":
"I'm not a far-leftist and I'm not a far-rightist," Paffrath said in one of his YouTube videos. "In fact, most people who learn about me don't even know if I'm a Democrat or a Republican. That's because my policies and my solutions are California solutions. They're neutral, middle-of-the-road solutions, and I seek to provide those solutions with both Democrats and Republicans." The "JFK-style Democrat" says Newsom's far-left agenda may lead California to bankruptcy:

I have two sons, Jack and Max, who are 5 and 3. In 20 years, they will be starting their lives, families and careers.

First, we’re going to make California competitive again.
To do this, we must eliminate homelessness.
We do this by starting with 80 Javits Center-style emergency facilities that will provide centralized support for homeless: food, shelter, clean restrooms, medical support, substance support and more. These facilities will be optional, but what will no longer be an option is sleeping on our streets after 60 days.
Then, we must cure the causes of homelessness. A significant amount of homelessness is driven by economic reasons (poverty, eviction, jobless).

In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost - Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace.
