But it is necessary to state here that Our Lord condemned the Kabbalah. At the beginning of St. John's Gospel it says "the Word of God became flesh" (John 1:14), thus condemning gnosis; the Church also sees the gnosis of the Jews who lost the temple as punishment for idol worship (Ezekiel 8:7-13), although the same Jews seek to rebuild it now.
