Today, Vatican expert Edward Pentin reported "nearly three years later questions raised by Cardinal [George] Pell... have seemingly gone unanswered. Pell had identified money laundering and fraud risks."
The Vatican expert revealed in "2017, the first ever external audit [of Pell] of the Vatican's Price Waterhouse (PwC) was abruptly cancelled by the Secretariat of State [headed by Cardinal Pietro Parolin] just months after it started."
According to Pentin, a informed Vatican source said:
"It would be so simple to eliminate the corruption: change the people... the same corrupt people as before, the so-called 'old guard.'"
National Catholic Register, "Questions Persist About Vatican Finances, Real Estate," July 22, 2019)
Pentin in the article didn't mention who is the defacto leader of the "old guard." He is:
Francis's Secretary of State Cardinal Parolin.
At the time of the financial examination being cancelled, the Inside the Vatican magazine reported who was behind the cancellation of the Pell audit (which was an attempt to begin a process of rooting out the Vatican financial corruption):
"[V]eteran Vatican watcher John Allen said in a report... that Parolin had discussed his concerns about the audit with Pope Francis and Francis had probably approved the [Secretariat of State employee] Becciu letter [that cancelled the Pell audit]."
Moreover, the magazine in the article called "Power Struggle in Vatican City" revealed :
"[T]he Secretariat of State [headed by Parolin] unceremoniously 'pulled the plug' on the initiative [Pell audit]."
""This dramatic move was taken without the knowledge of Pell, behind Pell's back."
"But Pell had been under attack in the Curia for some time..."
"This winter, Pell was was under attack from another direction. He was interrogated... by an Australian government commission... [on] decades ago... cases of priests sexually abusing young people in Australia."
(Inside the Vatican online edition, "Power Struggle in Vatican City," no date given)
And as everyone knows, a few years later after the "power struggle" with Parolin, Pell ended up in prison on a verdict which former Catholic Answers commentator Patrick Coffin said "even Pell's ideological foes feel... is absurd."
Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church.

Conservatives can be homosexual too. And they can certainly be part of the Homosexual Network Strangling the Church.
If Pell weren’t (A) part of the Homosexual Network Strangling the Church of which Antipope Francis is the head; and (B) therefore blackmailable if he became inconvenient to Antipope Francis, Parolin, Becchiu and the rest of the Homosexual Network Strangling the Church, then he wouldn’t have been invited to Antipope Francis’s roundtable at all.
Immaculate Heart, pray for us and cleanse the Church of the Augean filth therein !
Pell’s history in covering up such crimes in multiple as in dozens of other cases is truly despicable.
Please all you trad-con talking heads spare us your righteous anger on how Pell was set up.
He deserves to be in jail for his crimes. As does the rest of the Homosexual Network Strangling the Church.
Meanwhile feel free to google David Ridsdale—abused by his own uncle the infamous named above, Pell’s buddy, collegemate and housemate—and two contemporaneous Australian 60-Minutes exposés on the supposed hero of orthodoxy.
One of these expisés is on Ridsdale wherein Pell pulls a Danneels and attempts to buy the silence of the nephew; and another on a young girl who slashed her wrists due to crimes of a priest predator whom Pell shielded. Itself a crime, each a crime by Pell if he did it, I am sure you would agree.
