Man's love of money leads him to more covetousness and logically to more power. Because he behaves as if he were a god, but all this is a huge blindness that will lead him only to his own "ruin and destruction" (1 Timothy 6:9). Then this proud and petty elite will fall, in the example of the Tower of Babel that fell to the ground. So, all this also means a total ruin of the society that has relied on it totally, as Revelation 18:15-19 says.
