Isaac the Syrian is listed on the "New Advent" website as "Isaac of Nineveh... Nestorian bishop." Isaac also apparently held Origin's apokatastasis that all demons would make it back to heaven. THAT is who the synod is quoting in asking you to have "a heart" for "demons."
