Pope John Paul II warned of this conflict more clearly in 1976 at a Eucharistic meeting in the United States of America. Earlier, Pope Paul VI had ended his days lamenting something un-Catholic that had happened at Vatican II:
"That is why we proclaim the highest calling of man and affirm that there is in him a divine seed. (Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes, number 3)"
It was a collaboration required of the Church in order to establish such a "universal brotherhood" to the human race, but it proved to be destructive of the very faith and good Christian morals.
